What's in a name ...
Last week we were at some friends' place for lunch. They happen to have a bit of a hobby farm, and Caleb very much enjoyed looking at the animals - some chickens, a few sheep, and a llama. Later that evening after we had been home for a while I asked Caleb if he would like to have some animals at home. He responded that he would like to have some sheep, but we would need to be careful that they didn't go on the road. I assured him that we would build a pen for them with a fence so that they didn't wouldn't go on the road and get run over. Caleb immediately said "Yes, and I would say 'nickoh' to them!" I wasn't really sure what he meant, so asked him to repeat what he had said. He said it again, and I quickly caught on. I asked him what he though 'nickoh' meant; "get away" was his explanation. I explained to him then that 'Nicole' was actually Arinn's middle name and I usually only used middle names when I was really trying to get someone's attention and get them to stop doing something they shouldn't have been doing.
Lost Tooth
Simplicity
Today Caleb and I were spending some time together cuddling and he looked up at me and smiled and said, "Mom, I love you." I responded by saying, "And I love you!" He got all excited and said "Yeah! Now we are almost married!" Oh, how simple life should be.
