Today as Caleb and I were watching the football game, I asked him what number he would want to have on his shirt if he was a football player. He told me it would be a number 4 because he is four years old but when I asked him what would happen when he turned 5, he told me that he would have to change his number then to 5. He was quiet for a few seconds and then looked at me and said, "Wow, I would end up being the player with all the numbers so then I would have A LOT of football shirts!" and then without hesitation, "if I had all the football shirts, I would be the only player!"

A Milestone
Today Caleb hit a milestone. He finally figured out how to write his own name without any help. It has been tough to get him to sit down long enough to want to learn but just last week he started learning about the letters of the alphabet at school. Now all he wants to do is spell. Every "C" that is on any sign that we pass while driving is pointed out and every time he says a word that starts with the same sound, he tells me that his name also starts with the same sound. This is coming from a child who just last week was convinced that his name started with a "K" instead of a "C." When I asked him why he thought that, he very plainly told me that his name had to start with "K" because that is what comes before "Lib." At first I didn't get it and when I told him so he responded with, "Mo-om. K-Libby. That's what you call me. Libby. The K just comes first."
