Last night while Caleb was going to bed, he was having trouble going to sleep because he was so overtired. When that happens, the best thing to do is to distract him and get him thinking about something else and eventually he relaxes enough to stop fighting and settle down. I went into his bed and was asking him questions about his day. Because I didn't go with him to his doctor's appointment, I figured I could ask him questions about that. So he told me about the drive there, the fact that he got a sticker from the receptionist, and that the doctor held his hand. I asked him what the doctor was wearing, expecting a regular reply, but he answered, "hair, sleeves, and feet!"
I am amazed at what things will impact a 2 1/2 year old.
