In July we had the priviledge of going to Gem to watch my youngest sister get married. I have to say that having her get married has really made me feel like I am getting old. When I moved out of the house to begin bible college, Debbie was going into grade two. That is only one year older than Carathy is now! I also used to babysit Dylan.....kind of a bit weird to think that I used to babysit my brother-in-law! Despite my realization of just how old I am getting, I am so extremely excited that they are married. We love Dylan like he has been part of the family for years and it is amazing how he fits right in.
When the kids and I (and my other sister, Kim) left BC to drive to Gem for Debbie's wedding, we got there a week ahead of time so that I could host a bridal shower for her. It was a lot of fun planning the afternoon for her and great to be able to see all the people come out to support her.
These pictures were from that afternoon.
I took their engagement pictures and put them into painted frames and that is what we put on all the tables. I thought that it added a nice personal touch.
Also part of the decorations

Debbie making a thank you speech
Ahh, the guest of honor
