A Picture Post

So, I guess this will be the photo catch-up post. I tried to pick photos that represented some of the major things that happened in our lives. By no means did I get everything in there but I certainly got a few things covered.

This was taken during our visit to the Olympics. I think everyone that visited got their picture taken in front of the flame and here is ours......

Caleb was so adamant that he get to go see the flame up close. So he and I waited in line with friends for over an hour. His excitement grew and grew the closer we got. When we finally got our turn up close he just stood there with his mouth hanging open for a few minutes. Then he said, "This is exactly how I dreamed it would be!"

In April, Carathy broke her arm on a swing at the school. She was going to a friends' house after school so I didn't find out that it was sore until I picked her up later that evening. The next day it hurt her but didn't seem too bad so I sent her to school. When she got home and told me that her teacher had to do all her writing for her, I took her to the walk-in clinic. Sure enough, it was broken.

This is Kim and Jon on their wedding day. So good together!
I got to make their wedding cake. It was my first official crack at making a cake and I think it turned out not too bad considering we had no power for three days before the wedding.

Our little family on the day of the wedding.

Caleb and Arinn all ready and just waiting for the party to start. Aren't they cute?

Arinn trying on my sunglasses on Mother's Day when we visited the lake.

Another picture of my cutie pie.

Caleb just happy to be outside in the sun.

A typical expression on Carathy's face.

Steven relaxed.

A self portrait.

Caleb with his preschool teacher, Ms. Rast. He was so sad to leave her class.

Caleb in his graduation hat.

Carathy playing in her last baseball game of the year.

Little miss Arinn at the Hoodoos in Drumheller.

Grandpa and Grandma with all of their grandkids - but one. Natalie wasn't born yet.

This picture makes me sad. I was watching the moving truck drive away with all of our possessions in it. After it left, I turned around and asked my mom if it was too late to change our minds.

Carathy and her best friend, Emily. They were hiding in the cupboard hoping we wouldn't find them when it was time to leave for the last time. They really didn't want to say goodbye and I can't really blame them! As it turned out, Carathy really did leave her sweater there. We had to ask Ronni to go back and pick it up for us.

This picture was taken during the week of holidays we took as we moved to Hilda. It was taken at Three Valley Gap.

This picture was taken when we realized that Arinn has a peanut allergy. She has had them once since then (accidentally) and her reaction keeps getting worse. We are currently in the process of getting an epi pen for her.

This picture was taken during our installation service for Hilda Baptist Church.

Main street Hilda.

A sunset. This was taken from our front door.

Carathy's first day of Grade 3.

Caleb's first day of Kindergarten.

All three kids at Sandy Point Park. It is just 20 minutes from our house - down by the river.

Arinn at my parents house in Gem.

These next three pictures are from the first time we got to meet little Natalie. The kids were quite enthralled with her.

Caleb is quite the natural little babysitter. He just loves babies and they seem to really like him, too.

Skating one day on the frozen patch of ice in someone's field. It was a really cold day.

Arinn didn't last too long that day. She was happy to be pulled along in the sled and then was all done.

Our Christmas family picture.
Carathy and Emily when they came to visit us in March.

Easter egg hunting.

We got to help with a couple of brandings. I got to vaccinate one day - something I had done a lot of times before while I was growing up.

Arinn and her friend, Dani. They were watching us that day.

Steven working the irons. I think he felt he had a bit of power with that thing.

Caleb got right into it. He was the holder of the Dettol bottle used for disinfecting after casteration. I think his eyes were opened that day!

Well, that's it for now. I still have a couple of posts that I want to write to update you completely. Hopefully those will come soon.

Caleb really seems to fit in with the cowboy seen. I never would have thought he would be so into that! I think its great and I know Dylan is proud of the plaid!

He does fit in really well! It is a huge surprise to us, too but exciting to see him find something he is so excited about.
